Jack System Underground Waste Container
Technical Specifications
This specification defines the technical features, manufacturing standards, and operational requirements for the underground waste container systems operated via a hydraulic jack connection.
- The underground container system shall connect to the garbage truck via a jacked hose and operate via a manual control unit, eliminating the need for the driver to exit the vehicle.
- When the system is operated for emptying the inner container or any other reason, a moving platform shall elevate the waste containers to ground level.
- The system shall feature a scissor-lift chassis structure designed to facilitate the emptying of the inner containers.
- The chassis shall be constructed with high resistance against bending and torsion.
- The chassis shall be made of 45×80 NPU profile, and the scissors from 50x100x4mm profile.
- Chassis bearings and other bearing pins shall be manufactured from Ck.1040 material with flanges.
- The lower chassis shall have anchor locations at its 4 (four) corners for securing it to the concrete socket.
- The vertical movement (up-down) of the container shall be powered by a hydraulic cylinder.
- A precision-adjustable check valve shall be utilized to control the downward movement of the elevator system as desired.
- To facilitate vertical movement, the jack inlet port shall be connected to the side of the system, housed in a water-tight box with a cover lockable by a butterfly key.
- The system shall be designed to be assembled and disassembled, consisting of a lower chassis, upper chassis, and chassis posts.
- For vertical movement, the scissor chassis connections shall be journaled with M27 bolts and M27 fiber nuts.
- The container mechanism shall be a scissor chassis structure executing vertical movement via Delrin wheels.
- All bolts used in the system shall be galvanized, minimum 8.8 grade (DIN 961-933), and nuts shall be galvanized with fiber (DIN 985).
- A 30x5mm gasket shall be used to ensure water tightness.
- The Inner Platform shall feature a 500x400x2 mm cover made of 2 mm thick TS 822 galvanized sheet metal to allow access to the lower section if necessary.
- The edges of the Inner Platform sheet shall be bent to provide structural strength.
- The rear of the inner platform shall include a container centering rail and a securing mechanism to prevent containers from falling backwards and to center them.
- The upper walking platform shall be sturdy enough for safe pedestrian use, made of minimum 3/4 mm teardrop patterned sheet metal, and hot-dip galvanized according to TS EN ISO 1461 standards.
- All metal surfaces shall be hot-dip galvanized in compliance with TS EN ISO 1461 standards.
- The lift system shall be single-acting. Pipes shall be manufactured from DIN 2391 seamless, ST52-3 BK + S or DIN 2391 cold-drawn, H8 tolerance, precision honed tubing. The rod shall be manufactured from 50-micron chrome-plated, CK 45 material, F7 tolerance.
- The hydraulic hose shall use SAE 100 R1AT quality material. Steel installation pipes shall be ST 37-4 or higher quality drawn steel, seamless, phosphate coated, and annealed. Equipment of EU origin and CE certified shall be used.
- The waste disposal chute body dimensions shall be 570 x 620 mm, with a ground clearance of 800 mm.
- The waste disposal chute body shall be made of 1.5 mm thick AISI 304 quality Chrome Nickel sheet metal.
- The waste disposal chute lid shall be made of 1.5 mm thick AISI 304 quality Chrome Nickel sheet metal.
- The chute lid shall have a plastic hand grip for easy manual opening and a foot pedal for easy foot operation.
- The foot pedal shall be made of 3×4 teardrop patterned sheet metal, hot-dip galvanized according to TS EN ISO 1461.
- A sealing gasket shall be fitted to the chute lid to prevent noise and odor emission.
- The chute lids shall be easily operable by any user and equipped with a shock absorber to ensure the lid closes slowly and automatically after waste is deposited.
- The waste chutes shall bear the administration’s logo, safety warning signs, and labels indicating the type of waste.
- The outer concrete socket shall be prepared using C35/45 quality reinforced fair-faced concrete. The socket shall contain 6 mm ribbed rebar with a 15x15cm mesh spacing.
- The outer concrete socket shall be 100% waterproof. It shall be a single monolithic piece with a wall thickness of 120 mm, internal dimensions of at least 1480x2280x1800 mm, and external dimensions of at least 1720x2520x1900 mm.
- The Jack System shall include 2 units of 1100-liter waste containers.
